ANJ Breaking News … At least 70 people, including many children, died Tuesday after suffering symptoms of chemical poisoning, including foaming at the mouth and suffocation.

Russia’s defense ministry is blaming a Syrian airstrike on a "terrorist" ammunition depot for the deaths of dozens of people in what has been described as a suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria’s Idlib province.
According to a statement posted Wednesday on the Russian ministry’s Facebook page, the strike hit "workshops, which produced chemical warfare munitions" in the eastern outskirts of the Khan Sheikhun town.

President Aashar al-Assad

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s military denied using chemical weapons and blamed rebels for the carnage.

President Donald Trump, speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, said the suspected chemical attack against Syrian civilians "crossed a lot of lines for me" and changed the way he views Syria and its leader Bashar al-Assad.
He blamed the attack in part on what he described as "a great opportunity missed" on the part of former President Obama.

Captain Rick: I urge all, including President Trump, to exercise caution on drawing judgment. FAKE NEWS is blaming Russia. That is a travesty. FAKE NEWS is also blaming Assad and seems to want Assad out of power.
I caution that thought might cause another ‘rush to judgment’ similar to Saddam Hussein being removed from power in Iraq, which proved to be a monumental mistake … one of the biggest of modern history. It left a quagmire from which ISIS grew from within.

I believe someone closer to home had a hand in this. Probably the Rebels did it but who helped them? I am almost afraid to say.But if I typed a group of letters that stand for agency’s they would be easily recognized. McCain is waving the war flag. I guarantee Hillary and Obama are smiling. Just my opinion of course. Who ever did this needs to be hung by their toenails and gassed as well.

It sounds like Syrian forces bombed something they did not know was a chemical stockpile, but not sure that is correct. I agree with your assessment of McCain, Hillary and Obama. McCain is a dangerous person. Good thing he did not get elected in 2008 or the US would probably be in wars all over tarnation. Thanks for your comment.

I hope that Trump and Putin will have a chat about this and come away with consensus on how to proceed. I think Putin has a good handle on things. If Syria made a bad move, I trust Putin will take corrective action. Syria is very indebted to Putin and listens to what he says. The last thing we need is for the US to take things into their own hands and start bombing things like Obama did. I well remember the incorrect targets that Obama’s forces hit in Syria. Things can get very messed up when you have multiple forces trying to accomplish different goals.

We should remember that Russia operates a massive naval base in Tartus, Syria to service its Black Sea warship fleet and a airbase in Khmeimim Syria, both on the Mediterranean coast.
Russia has many billions of dollars invested in these bases and will protect them at all cost.

President Trump appointed very capable and smart Military Leaders. He let them do their job. Intelligence came to light that an airplane was tracked taking off from that airport and dropping a bomb on the people. What a mess President Trump was left with to clean up. I pray he will be able to restore the balance of power that has been shattered for the past 16 years.

I have not seen conclusive evidence that the Syrian bombs contained the gas. Some reports claim that the bombs hit a storage of chemicals in the area where the people were gassed. If this is the case, President Trump made a bad mistake. I want to see more evidence before I draw a conclusion.

Another thought. Could this be a distraction from the scandles involving Rice, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Obama, the Awan brothers, the 20 House of Representatives involved with the Brothers, and all if the misdeeds about to be uncovered. Remember everytime anyone got close to uncovering any of Bill’s misdeeds a crisis would pop up.

I wonder how trust worthy Trump’s intelligence team is. I have read the Pentagon thinks they are running the country. Trump needs to clean house at all levels in my opinion.

Excellent thoughts. I share your concerns. I think Mattis and the DOD hawks have stolen Trumps ear. Personally, I think Trump should fire Mattis or buy a good set of ear plugs to block the warmonger rhetoric.
